A blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Malvasia Nera, aged for one year in large oak barrels. A very bright wine, with ruby hues. Extroverted nose with lots of ripe cherry, licorice, earth and fragrant wood smoke. Forceful, vibrant flavors; cherries, leather and stony mineral predominate. Bright acidity and youthful tannin lend an attractive but solid texture.
