Wine Pick of the Week; October 7th, 2009
A good wine for a great cause...
Cline's philosophy that a company should be an integral and contributing member of the community, and the company has donated nearly $100,000 to various breast cancer charities since 2003. Their most recent partnership is with the Breast Cancer Network of Strength, who provide information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer. Cline Cellars is a proud sponsor of their 2009 Ride to Empower held in Red Rock, Nevada later this month.
Cashmere is Cline Cellars' proprietary blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, and throughout the entire month of October, Cline will feature the signature "pink ribbon" on all Cashmere bottles to promote and support breast cancer awareness.
39% Grenache, 38% Syrah, 23% Mourvedre
A very flavorful and luscious wine with a round and smooth mouthfeel. Big and complementing flavors of cherry, raspberry and chocolate notes mingle in the mouth with hints of cracked black pepper and plums.
