When you are lucky enough to taste wines for a living, as we are, you are always anticipating that next great wine that will just knock your socks off. That's exactly what happened when we brought the 2001 Domaine Coursodon Saint Joseph "La Sensonne" to our noses.
This is a gem from the Patrick Lesec selections. Patrick is a former restaurateur who now searches out great wines. "La Sensonne" is a northern Rhone Syrah in a Pinot Noir style. It's a stellar wine that will not last at a great price of only $20. Robert Parker perhaps said it best: "It's a shame only 300 cases of this wine were produced!"
Stop by Andover Liquors and pick up a bottle to enjoy - you won't be disappointed, we promise!
Saturated ruby-red color with the intoxicating aromas of raspberry, blackberry,
and licorice. Lightly scented with black pepper and laced with oaky flavors on the palate - all united as perfection in a glass.
