2005 was a great year for Bordeaux and there was a lot of excitement
around this vintage. Prices skyrocketed and bottles vanished off the
shelves. This wine is very expressive. It starts off with blueberries, white
pepper, vanilla, and dried cherries. The flavors on the palate unfold into
notes of cherry and plum fruit coupled with expressive cedar, earth, and minerals. The tannins are still firmly in place and no doubt will soften
after another five years. Don’t let the price fool you! It’s an impressive
wine for everyday drinking from this exceptional vintage.
