The estate of Maximin Grunhaus, located in the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, dates back to the Roman era. All wines from this estate carry incomparable finesse and elegance--most likely from the blue and red slate soils on the property. This vintage has distinct scents of chamomile flower, pear blossom and mineral in the nose. The mouth feel has an amazing push/pull quality; your mouth is puckering and watering at the same time...just like drinking a perfectly made lemonade. We're not the only ones giving high praise, "Wine Spectator" awarded the estate the distinction of "Winery for Value" in 2007.
