The Saarstein winery owns the oldest vineyards in the village of Serring (located in the Saar region), which was purchased by an industrialist at the beginning of the 19th century. Around 1900, his descendants built the imposing "Schloss" (or castle to the non-German speaking folk) above the vineyards. The winery, currently owned by Christian Ebert and his wife, Andrea, both grew up in the wine business.

This estate Riesling is a brisk, electric white with reflections of peach, ripe apple and mineral flavors that vibrate off the laser-like structure. It's a lightweight wine that leaves a tangy impression.
